The KAPSARC School of Public Policy (KSPP) hosted the 2025 NASPAA Regional Conference under the theme “Shaping the Future of Public Affairs.” Held from May 26-28, the conference brought together distinguished scholars, senior policymakers, and public policy experts from around the world to engage in high-level discussions on the future of public policy education and institutional innovation.
Serving as a vital academic forum, the event set the stage for in-depth dialogue on key topics ranging from human capital development and sustainability to governance reform and the integration of emerging technologies in the public sector. The comprehensive program featured a series of panel discussions and expert-led sessions exploring the rapidly evolving landscape of policy education and leadership training.
The Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) is the global standard in public service education. As a nonprofit membership network comprising more than 320 institutional member schools, NASPAA accredits master’s degree programs in public administration, public policy, public affairs, nonprofit management, and related fields worldwide.
The 2025 NASPAA Regional Conference attracted over 700 registrations from 27 countries and featured more than 90 distinguished speakers. The program included four plenary sessions, 23 concurrent sessions, and two specialized workshops, offering an engaging platform for dialogue and collaboration.
Discussions were organized around five thematic tracks:
• Global Governance & Public Policy
• Technology in Public Affairs
• Academic Governance & Management
• Teaching & Learning
• Energy, Sustainability & Economic Development
The conference underscored KSPP’s mission to empower future policy leaders and professionals in Saudi Arabia and beyond to address complex public challenges through evidence-based solutions.
