Academic Qualification
A bachelor’s or higher degree from a recognized academic institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or 3.75 (on a 5.0 scale).
Academic Background
While admission is open to all academic backgrounds, evidence of quantitative and analytical skills through coursework and/or professional experience is an advantage. |
Work Experience
Professional experience is preferred but not required. Successful applicants typically have at least 1 or 2 years of professional work experience. |
Recommendations
Two recommendations should be submitted before the application deadline. You will be asked to provide the contact information of two referees in your online application. They will subsequently receive a link to provide their recommendations.
Personal Statement
A personal statement of 300- 500 words articulating your motivation to pursue graduate studies in public policy and how the MPP degree relates to your professional objectives and aspirations. |
Policy Brief
A policy brief of 500 words on a pressing policy issue.
Resume
A recent resume of one to two pages highlighting your work experience, educational background, community service, and any other relevant information.
Proof of English Language Proficiency
A proof of English language proficiency as evidenced by:
- TOEFL-iBT: minimum score of 79
- IELTS Academic: minimum score of 6.5
*The Test of English as a Foreign language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing system (IELTS) may be waived if you have received a bachelor's or higher degree from a country where English is the native language (Australia, United Kingdom, United States, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland). *Please note that TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for two years and should be valid for your application.

GMAT or GRE test score
Applicants are required to submit valid GMAT or GRE test score (i.e., not older than five years).

When will I know if I am admitted?
If you submit your application by February 28, 2025, you will receive the admission decision by April 7, 2025. However, if you submit your application by April 10, 2025, you will receive the admission decision by May 15, 2025.
What academic background do I need?
Applications are open to all academic backgrounds.
Do I need work experience to apply?
Professional experience is preferred but not required. Successful applicants typically have at least 1 or 2 years of professional work experience.
Do I need to submit transcripts for all my degrees?
Yes, we require all of your transcripts. When completing your online application, you will be prompted to upload copies of your transcript(s). If you are offered admission, you will be required to submit official attested copies of your transcript(s). Offers of admission are not binding until we verify your official academic records and test scores.
Can I wave the English test?
Yes, it can be waived if you have received a bachelor's or higher degree from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and United States.
Do I need to submit GMAT/GRE scores if I already have a Master's or PhD degree or certain years of work experience?
Yes, submitting GMAT/GRE scores is a mandatory requirement for all applicants regardless of their degree level or work experience.
What GMAT or GRE score do I need to be accepted into the program?
There is no minimum required GMAT or GRE score. Please keep in mind that the GMAT or GRE is just one of the criteria for admission and that applications are evaluated holistically.
How many letters of recommendation are required and how should my recommenders send their recommendation?
