Shaping the Climate Ambition: Sustainability, Policy & Implementation

Shaping the Climate Ambition: Sustainability, Policy & Implementation

Program overview

This three-day executive program, co-designed with KAUST, examines sustainability through the interconnected themes of context, challenges, and solutions. With reference to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and national sustainability priorities, the program explores the global and regional dynamics shaping sustainability, as well as the roles of policy, governance, markets, science, and technology in advancing sustainable development.

Through keynotes, master classes, and interactive workshops, participants will examine systems approaches to public policy, the geopolitical context of energy, resilient climate and energy policy, sectoral transformation, and the human dimensions of energy use. The program also addresses implementation within complex organizations, life-cycle thinking, and the opportunities and risks associated with the energy-digital nexus. Practical workshops will connect these themes to sustainability decision-making and approaches to developing sustainable, resilient cities.
